Merry Christmas 2017

These two could hardly wait to get downstairs Christmas morning!

They will all three love this karaoke machine from Santa!

We enjoyed Christmas morning at home before loading up the car to head to Burlington to celebrate with my family. One thing I never want to forget is the gift that was given to me from Savannah.  On one of her Friday Promenade trips, she took her own allowance money and bought me a box of Godiva chocolate covered pretzels from Hallmark.  I love her sweet generous spirit and precious heart for others!

After stuffing our faces, we headed to the living room for gifts.  Thankfully we all exchanged presents before Pawpaw brought his gifts in . . .they were quite a surprise for all of the kids!  Savannah got a laptop and Preston got a new big boy bike with gears and a slack line for the new house.

We shared lots of delicious food, laughs, and funny stories before the party started to wrap up.

Preteens I tell you . . . two peas in a pod on their phones!

What? Preston is quiet and sitting still with Dave?!?  Definitely a photo moment!

And when you cant' find the paper cup with your name on it, I guess this is what you do?  I think we may need a refund from Cotillion classes!

What an awesome day we had together as a family.  It was such a treat to be able to share the day with those we love most.  We truly have much to be thankful for!

Christmas Eve 2017

It was a bit unusual feeling combing regular church with the Christmas Eve service, but that's how the calendar fell this year.  So we opted to worship at 9:30 in the new student building, which was amazing to finally venture into! After church we enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate before heading home.  We did our usual Chili's take out dinner and then journey around to see a Christmas light show at a local house.  The kids had to get out and take a silly picture before heading home to get ready for Santa!

The Bachmann Christmas Celebration

This morning started early with our family running the Jingle Jog at the YMCA. It was fun to do a run together in a non-competitive way and burn calories too.  A lady passed us and said "the family the sweats together stay together" . . I like it! :)

After the race, we rushed home and showered to get ready for Dave's family to arrive.  We decided to celebrate in our jammies this year, which made getting ready super quick. It didn't take long for the kids to rip into their stockings!

We enjoyed opening gifts, a delicious meal, and lots of laughs together before the night ended.  What a fun day to spend together. :)

Carmel Kidz Party

Today both kids had Sunday school parties at church.  Savannah's started at the early service where all of the preteens sat together in church.  They then headed to class where they played and partied until past noon.  I love that they are building a sense of community!

Winterfest

We took a little time out this weekend to visit Winterfest at Carowinds.  Although it was cold and super crowded, we had a fun time!  I think the fake snow blower was Preston's favorite part. :)

Sir Purr Rocks PSE

PSE won a contest with Harris Teeter and was able to have Sir Purr visit the school today!  The kids were SO excited as Sir Purr stopped by every class for a picture, brought everyone ice cream sandwiches, and gave them each a Panthers lanyard.  He was quite the silly panther from what I hear. :)

Then to top off a super fun day at school, Preston was able to stay at Ella's and play for awhile after the bus stop!  The big sisters wanted to do the Promenade after school so my carpool taxi didn't run until 4pm (or a bit tardy due to cabinet delivery).  Anyway, Mrs. Richards offered to let Preston play until I brought the big girls home so these two littles had a blast!

How cute are they in their matching Panther jerseys?!?

Full Swing Christmas Season . . .

Preston's wrapping of my present

Here at the Bachmann house, there has already been a lot of holiday activity!  Along with getting the current house "market ready" and making final selections for the new house, we have been doing a lot of planning, baking, wrapping, shopping, and addressing Christmas cards too.  Thankfully, if I catch my little elves in the right mood I have two extra sets of hands to help out!

Making Christmas goodies for family and friends

Even Jingles has been hard at work!  He brought us this awesome new ornament this morning!!
