Preston's Shark Dissection

 

For a few weeks now Preston has been talking about the upcoming shark dissection in science class so he was thrilled that today was finally the day to cut open the shark.  Apparently, he had quite the group, but somehow they managed the get the assignment done.  

He was excited to tell us all about it at dinner (after track tryouts and before rushing out to the soccer game) but Savannah and I had to stop the conversation before we threw up!  He was saying that some kids were throwing the eyeballs around and other kids took parts of the shark on the school bus after school.  GROSS!

If you ask me, Ms. Young is one amazing and brave science teacher to let seventh-grade boys attempt a shark dissection alone!  But, I'm sure they will remember this day for quite some time.  Huge thanks to my teacher friend Jenelle that passed along these pictures to me tonight!

Next up, Clemson Tigerrrrrs!!!

This was the tour we have ALL been excited about!  We arrived in Clemson early and enjoyed walking downtown and having lunch before the official tour began.  They had an admissions presentation and then had already divided us into groups based on majors for the tour.  Our guide was Jefferson and he was outstanding!!!  He knew just about everyone on campus by name and was super knowledgeable about all things Clemson.  After over two hours of walking around campus, we all were excited . . . well as excited as teenagers can be. :)  The journey continues to find the perfect school for Savannah, but as for this mama, I'd be happy if she landed right here in Clemson, SC!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 Valentine's Day was pretty low-key this year.  I made a lasagna and the kids were excited to get their gifts of candy, hair products, and a freezer muscle massager.  We exchanged cards and of course, enjoyed Cheesecake Factory cheesecake!  Who needs a holiday to celebrate love???  So grateful for our little family to love every day.
