Halloween 2021

Our day started with church and then an out-of-town soccer game in the afternoon.  We raced back from the game and went straight to the Marion's to drop off the kids so they could start trick or treating in their neighborhood.

Savannah and Caroline were Olivia Rodrigo

These four girls are precious!  They had a blast trick or treating together in two neighborhoods.

And these two, classics!  Preston really wanted to be the same bear as last year and his best buddy Ben was a box of nerds.  Somehow when they were trick or treating Ben tripped over a tree limb and couldn't get up.  Preston was kind enough to help him up, but only after taking a picture. LOL

One of our favorite parts of the night is the sorting and trading that happens after getting home! Between the two kids, they collected about 15 pounds of candy (not counting all that they ate).  It was a long, but super fun day!

Friday Night Soccer & Speech Celebration

This team was LONG overdue for a good win!  So on this cold Friday night, they brought home the W!!  There may have been a bit of celebrating after the game (since the turf was so slippery and wet why not slide on it?) :)

In honor of a good soccer win AND graduation from speech therapy, we had Coldstone after dinner today.  This kiddo was one happy little guy and it's not even Halloween yet!

Cotillion Continues

Is this kid not the cutest!?!  Tonight was Preston's second Cotillion class . . . he learned to shag and tie a real tie!  He actually enjoyed the class, or maybe it was winning candy that he liked the best. :)

Corn Maze Redo

We decided to venture down to SC for a fun Fall activity . . . a corn maze!  Last year when we tried the same maze (before they were relocated) it was a total disaster!  We all ended up super frustrated not being able to find all the puzzle pieces and barely made it out, but this year we all went in with much lower expectations and no time constraints, which made things much better!  We ended up finding most of the pieces and made it to the end all still smiling.  Per tradition we then headed to the funnel cake line, but it was SO long and not moving at all.  We decided to leave and stop at QT to get treats instead.  The kids were a bit disappointed that they were understaffed and not operating the ice-cream machine, but none the less. it was a fun way to enjoy a beautiful Fall day.
