Soccer Guest!

Preston was so excited that Uncle Mark was able to join us for his soccer game today.  His team ended up winning 5-0 and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to enjoy watching this kid tear up the soccer field.

It may not be Taylor Swift . . .

So we may not have been able to see Taylor Swift, but when your 17-year-old daughter asks you to take her to see Disney on Ice, well of course you do!  Savanah and I had a blast tonight being able to see the show.  It was truly a bit last minute, but it worked and we had fun!

It actually worked out perfectly because Preston was invited to go to Scarewinds with some friends and didn't get home until 11:45pm!!  Dave was able to enjoy a quiet house while we all were away so it was a win-win for everyone.

 

First College Application is DONE!

It's official, Savannah has submitted her first college application!!!  Woo hoo!!  Only a few more to go and then the waiting begins . . . trusting the Lord to show her exactly where she is supposed to go and excited to see where life leads!

Dave is 50!!

I can't believe this amazing man turned 50 today!  We surprised him with yard art (because we couldn't find black or orange flamingos anywhere) and enjoyed a fun night at the Knight's baseball game.

Of course, we had to leave the game a bit early to get home and enjoy birthday ice cream cake!

So so thankful to do life with Dave.  He is truly one of a kind and puts up with a lot of our junk . . . but never complains and always gives of his time to help when we are in meltdown mode. LOL  Here's to another 50 years and the blessings that God has in store!

Labor Day Golf

We didn't have huge plans for Labor Day but did enjoy an outing to Top Golf this morning.  It was a beautiful day and fun to just spend time together.

His Journey to the Dream Begins

Ever since Preston was little he has talked about being a pilot.  I'll never forget when we first surprised the kids with a trip to Disney World  . . the only thing Preston was excited about was who the pilot was going to be!  Recently his interest has grown and he's begun researching how to get his pilot's license and what schools have an aviation program.  So for his birthday, we surprised him with his first flight lesson.  It was so cool to see him in his element and watch him take off in the plane!  

Dave was able to join in the flight and thankfully they made it back safely.  I can't wait to see where his interest and passion for flying leads!
