PHS Homecoming ~ Guys Only

After the craziness of last year's homecoming, Preston was dead set on not going with a bunch of girls this year. LOL  Although he did get the opportunity to double date with a friend, he passed and instead decided to just hang out with the guys in the neighborhood.  They all got cleaned up and went to dinner at Red Rocks (fun fact, that's where we had our rehearsal dinner) and then had a sleepover at Graham's house. Apparently, it's totally lame to go to the actual dance, so these guys just hung out and had a blast.  So thankful for this awesome group of guys who are such great friends . . . and generally make good choices!

Happy 52nd Birthday Dave!

Today we celebrated this amazing guy's 52nd birthday!  He always so selflessly gives of himself to help things run smoothly around here, often on just a fraction of the sleep he needs.  So today we were excited to celebrate him!!  We plan to go out to eat when Savannah is home this weekend, but we were able to surprise him with balloons, a few little gifts, and a Bruster's ice-cream cake!  YUMMY!  Here's to another fun year together with much laughter (often at ourselves) and super sweet memories!

Labor Day Adventures

We have had such a fun weekend!  Savannah came home on Friday, after her interview at the campus bookstore, and was able to stay home through tomorrow morning as her first class is later on Tuesday.  We have run a million errands, done lots of shopping, eaten out at Red Robin AND Texas Roadhouse, emjoyed a local festival, and watched a good amount of TV too.  Preston's insane schedule with work, flight, and soccer meant only two dinners as a family, but we made the most of them!  He came straight from soccer practice to dinner tonight and quickly ordered three baskets of bread for himself as soon as he sat down. :)  Oh, how I love having everyone home together!!!  The extra day off today has been a blessing, as both kids had work to catch up on before we jump back into our regular schedules.
